Cooperation between the two Propaganda Departments contributes to firmly consolidating Vietnam - Laos relations

On December 13, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong received a high-ranking delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee's Propaganda and Training Commission led by Mr. Khamphan Pheuyavong, Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Propaganda and Training Commission, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, who is on a working visit to Vietnam.

Mr. Khamphan Pheuyavong was pleased with the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos that has been increasingly developing in depth, practically and effectively in various forms in various fields; and thanked Vietnam for its wholehearted and sincere assistance to Laos in the past struggle for national liberation as well as in the current cause of national renovation, construction and development.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong welcomed Mr. Khamphan Pheuyavong to visit Vietnam, highly appreciated the significance and results of the visit, congratulated Laos on its achievements in recent times; affirmed Vietnam's strong and comprehensive support for the cause of innovation, protection and development of Laos; and believed that under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao people will continue to achieve even greater new achievements to successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th Party Congress.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong highly appreciated the cooperation results between the two Propaganda Departments as well as the results of the talks, which have significantly contributed to consolidating and strengthening the Vietnam - Laos relationship. At the same time, he suggested that in the coming time, the two sides should continue to promote their traditions, successfully carry out assigned political tasks, closely coordinate, and effectively implement the High-level Leadership Agreement of the two Parties and two countries and the Cooperation Agreement between the two Central Propaganda Departments.

On this occasion, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent his regards and best wishes to General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith and other senior leaders and former leaders of the Lao Party and State.
