Timely distribution of food and necessities to each household in isolated areas
On the morning of October 31, the Da Nang City Military Command coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade to transport and distribute 6 tons of rice along with hundreds of rations and drinking water to people at the Defense Command of Area 2 - Thanh My and Area 3 - Tra My, two areas heavily affected by the recent floods.
From early morning, officers and soldiers of the city's armed forces urgently loaded and transported goods onto specialized vehicles, overcoming many landslides and muddy roads to bring food and necessities to the people. Of which, 2 tons of rice were allocated to Thanh My area, 4 tons of rice to Tra My area; along with 1.5 tons of dry food and 300 cartons of drinking water - a practical relief source to help people overcome the immediate difficulties.
Following the direction of the Military Region 5 Forward Command, the 270th Engineer Brigade and the militia forces of the communes also marched to isolated points, bringing instant noodles, bread, banh chung, fish sauce, medicine and other necessities to the people in the landslide areas. Many officers and soldiers had to march for hours, through forests and wade through streams to ensure "no one goes hungry, no one is left behind".

In addition, the Women's Union of the City Military Command coordinated with the Women's Union of the Political Department of Military Region 5 and Thanh An 96 Company to present 300 gifts including rice, drinking water and necessities to households in An Luu area (Ngu Hanh Son ward) and La Bong and Yen Ne villages (Hoa Tien commune).
"Although the gifts are small, they are a great source of encouragement to help people feel warm and confident after the natural disaster," said Major To Thi Kim Ngan, President of the Women's Union of the City Military Command.

On the morning of October 31, water in many areas in Da Nang began to recede. However, in low-lying areas, mud and soil were still deeply inundated, making people's lives extremely difficult. With the motto "where the water recedes, clean up", police, border guards, health care workers and organizations have all mobilized to help people overcome the consequences and restore infrastructure.
Da Nang City Police mobilized hundreds of officers and soldiers to go directly to the grassroots, clear mud, clear sewers, and assist people in cleaning their houses and schools. The Traffic Police Department also coordinated to guide and ensure safety for relief convoys and transport goods to isolated areas, avoiding congestion on the route.

At the same time, the Border Guard forces at the stations in the mountainous areas also made every effort to help people overcome the consequences of the floods. In La Dee commune, Nam Giang district, officers and soldiers of the Nam Giang International Border Gate Border Guard Station coordinated with local authorities, militia forces and youth union members to urgently clean up mud and collect landslide materials at heavily affected households.
Captain Tran Phuoc Quang, Head of the station's Mass Mobilization Team, said: "We focused on supporting a number of households that were severely affected, with collapsed kitchens, cracked main houses, and mud flooding into the houses. Thanks to the cooperation of the border guards and the people, the residential area has now been basically restored, and people's lives have gradually stabilized."

The Da Nang Department of Health requested the entire sector to focus on overcoming the consequences of the floods, while proactively preventing epidemics, ensuring environmental safety and domestic water. Hospitals and medical centers urgently disinfect, collect waste, and distribute water treatment chemicals to prevent epidemics from breaking out after the floods.
The Director of the Department of Health requested units "not to be subjective or negligent in natural disaster prevention and control", and to increase visits and support with medicine and food for severely affected areas. The work of checking areas at risk of landslides and deep flooding was urgently deployed to ensure the safety of people's lives.
