Lam Ha district mobilizes billions of dong to support the poor

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province has also transferred more than 4 billion VND to the district to support poor and near-poor households, the elderly, etc.

After receiving the above amount, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Ha district spent it on beneficiaries, contributing to the goal of poverty reduction, ensuring social security and sustainable development.

Specifically, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - the "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Committee of Lam Ha district spent more than 7 billion VND; including building 115 new houses and repairing 21 houses for households that are unable to build their own houses.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee also provided capital support for 22 households to purchase production materials, provided emergency famine relief to 50 households, supported students with more than 600 million VND, supported 99 cases of serious illness treatment, and supported 1,260 households during Tet...

According to Mr. Hoang Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Ha district, the work of mobilizing, receiving, managing and using the "For the Poor" Fund ensures correct procedures, correct purposes, and supports the right subjects.

The “For the Poor” Fund campaign has truly become a widespread movement and has aroused the tradition of national solidarity and the spirit of “Mutual love and support” among all classes of people in the district. Thanks to that, more and more resources have been mobilized to join hands and contribute to helping the poor, especially the “Great Unity” house building movement, with the motto: “State support, community help, households do it themselves” to build houses and stabilize their lives.

Lam Ha district has built a social movement to help the poor with the goal of: Mobilizing resources in the whole society to care for and help the poor, contributing to helping the poor gradually improve their material and spiritual life; thereby, rapidly reducing the annual poverty rate in the locality.

The mobilization committees at all levels periodically conduct inspections and supervise the implementation of the management and use of the "For the Poor" Fund; to date, no cases of negative behavior or loss of Fund resources have been detected.
