Liverpool legend comes to Vietnam to meet fans

(NLDO) - The Standard Chartered Futsal Cup 2025 took place on July 26 at Gia Dinh Stadium (HCMC), gathering 33 teams, with the appearance of the Liverpool legend.

The tournament, launched in Vietnam in 2014, has a long-standing media presence and is part of a regional initiative to spread the love of sports and connect customers, employees and the community.

The tournament is expected to be a competition between 33 teams to find the champion. The champion team will receive an all-inclusive trip to England, watch Liverpool play in person, visit Anfield and participate in professional training at the Liverpool Academy.

In particular, Liverpool legend Patrik Berger, who won the 5-trophy treble with the "Red Devils of Merseyside" (UEFA Cup, European Super Cup, FA Cup, League Cup, English Super Cup - Charity Shield) in 1996, will also be present. The Czech legend will attend, interact and present the prize to the winning team at this tournament.

The tournament will be open to fans from 6am on Saturday, July 26. The event promises to be a warm and friendly exchange and a rare opportunity for Vietnamese fans to meet and listen to stories from the talented former midfielder of Liverpool.
