Following the working visit to Switzerland, Comrade Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Party Central Committee's Internal Affairs Commission, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Negative Practices, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform, led a delegation of our Party to visit and work in Greece from July 2-6.
During the visit, the delegation had meetings and worked with Vice President of the ruling New Democracy Party and Minister of Labor of Greece Adonis Georgiadis; General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece Dmitris Koutsoumpas; Secretary General and Permanent Deputy Minister of Justice of Greece Panos Alexandris; Deputy President of the Supreme Court of Audit of Greece Vlachaki Maria and Mayor of Santorini Antonis Sigalas.

Comrade Phan Dinh Trac congratulated Greece on successfully organizing the recent parliamentary election as well as the achievements that the Greek Government and people have made in economic recovery and development, especially in the context of being affected by the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic and the energy crisis.
Affirming the importance of the Party, State and people of Vietnam to the good traditional relationship between the two countries, comrade Phan Dinh Trac thanked the Greek people for their support for Vietnam in the past resistance war for national independence and the current cause of national construction and protection; and thanked Greece for being one of the first European Union (EU) countries to ratify the Vietnam-EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA).
Comrade Phan Dinh Trac expressed his joy at the positive development of the relationship between the two countries, with two-way trade increasing significantly in recent times. He also assessed that the two sides still have much room and potential to promote cooperation in various fields.

He also shared information on the socio-economic development situation and achievements that Vietnam has achieved after nearly 40 years of Doi Moi, on Vietnam's foreign policy and goals and development strategies according to the guidelines of the 13th Party Congress and some results of Vietnam's work in preventing and combating corruption and negativity in recent times.
Leaders of Greek political parties and authorities welcomed and highly appreciated the delegation's working visit, informed about the situation in Greece as well as the political, economic and social achievements that Greece has achieved in recent times, especially the successful organization of the National Assembly election.
Emphasizing the good traditional relationship, affection and support that the Greek people have always given to Vietnam, leaders of Greek political parties and functional agencies thanked the solidarity and respect that the Party, State and people of Vietnam have for the country and people of Greece, and congratulated Vietnam on its development achievements.
Greece considers Vietnam a model of success and expressed confidence in Vietnam's bright development prospects. Affirming its importance in strengthening cooperation with Vietnam, Greece wishes to promote cooperation in the fields of economics, trade, tourism, maritime transport, and receiving Vietnamese workers to work in Greece.

The two sides had in-depth exchanges on experiences, guidelines, policies and measures in the field of corruption prevention and control; agreed to promote cooperation between relevant agencies of Vietnam and Greece in this field; and discussed international issues of mutual concern, sharing principled stances on resolving disputes by peaceful means, in compliance with international law and the United Nations Charter.

Talking with the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece, comrade Phan Dinh Trac praised the efforts of the officers and staff of the representative agency, and asked them to continue to strive to excellently complete their assigned tasks, contributing to further strengthening the friendship and bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Greece.
