Jung So Min talks about her chemistry with Jung Hae In

tvN's “Love Next Door” is one of the most anticipated Korean dramas of August.

Before the drama aired, the two main actors Jung Hae In and Jung So Min had many promotional activities together. Recently, the couple took a pictorial photoshoot for Elle Korea magazine.

“As the film depicts the romance of childhood friends who grew up in the same neighborhood and share each other’s dark history, the photo shoot also captured the two’s playful mood as if they were playing hide-and-seek in their childhood home,” the magazine introduced.

The series of photos with bright colors proved the harmony and chemistry between the two actors, making the audience even more eager to see the film air.

“Love Next Door” is a romantic comedy that marks the reunion of director Yoo Je Won and screenwriter Shin Ha Eun, who previously collaborated on the hit drama “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.”

Jung So Min will play Bae Seok Ryu, a woman who tries to restart her troubled life after things go wrong. Jung Hae In will play Choi Seung Hyo, the son of her mother's friend.

Having spent their childhood together, Bae Seok Ryu and Choi Seung Hyo have witnessed all the embarrassing moments and darkest hours of each other's lives. But when they unexpectedly reunite as adults, their relationship changes.

In an interview with Elle, when asked about expectations for this genre, Jung So Min talked about her co-star Jung Hae In instead of herself: “I think people can expect unexpected things, because they have never seen the humorous side of actor Jung Hae In.

I have more experience in romantic comedies, but I relied a lot on Hae In on set. Jung Hae In's level of synchronization with the character Seung Hyo is also very high."

Jung Hae In continued: "I want to create consensus through close, everyday acting."

Regarding the appeal of the work, Jung So Min shared: “This is a work that I personally received a lot of comfort from while filming. Not only Seok Ryu and Seung Hyo, but each character has their own story.

I hope viewers will find similarities with themselves and gain strength while watching the characters grow and overcome difficulties."

Jung Hae In agreed, saying, “The stories between each character, including family stories, are warm and have a healing element. The atmosphere on set is warm and caring, so you can expect to see me smile a lot.”
