Binh Lam Flower Village: Investing in tourism development, improving people's lives

From the beginning of September 2025 until now, despite unfavorable weather, Nhan Huy Construction Company Limited has still made efforts to concentrate human and material resources to urgently construct the project of renovating, upgrading, and completing the public parking lot and public restrooms to serve tourists at Binh Lam flower growing craft village (Binh Lam village).

Up to now, the construction unit has completed leveling the common parking lot with an area of 700 ^m2 , is constructing the foundation to contain the soil and reinforce the roof, then continuing to pour concrete for the yard floor.

Along with that, the unit also focuses on completing the construction of public restroom complexes; underground water tank systems, wastewater treatment and flower beds to decorate the parking area.

"We are trying to complete the construction to put the project into use in December 2025, ready to serve visitors on the upcoming Lunar New Year 2026" - Mr. Vo Ngoc Huy - Director of Nhan Huy Construction Company Limited said.

It is known that the project of renovating, upgrading and completing the public parking lot and public toilets serving tourists under the project "Tourism model associated with agricultural production in Binh Lam flower village" has a total investment of more than 2.5 billion VND.

The goal is to build a tourism model associated with agricultural production in the flower growing village of Binh Lam. From there, developing rural tourism is associated with promoting the potential and advantages of agriculture, culture and local ecological environment.

“Through this model, the locality wants to improve the quality of material and spiritual life of rural people; contribute to shifting the rural economic structure towards multi-value integration, inclusiveness and sustainable development” - Mr. Duong Minh Tan - Chairman of Tuy Phuoc Dong Commune People's Committee said.

According to Mr. Van Tan Thanh - Director of Binh Lam Flower and Ornamental Plant Service Cooperative, Binh Lam flower village currently has more than 200 households engaged in flower growing, with a total flower growing area of about 7 hectares, creating jobs for more than 1,000 local workers. Currently, flower growers mainly grow varieties such as chrysanthemums, marigolds, gerberas, orchids, lisianthus, roses, carnations, violas, and fuchsias.

In addition, villagers are also opening up new directions of development with new ornamental plants such as tiger tongue, money tree, cactus and some bonsai varieties such as yellow apricot, laurel, bougainvillea... to meet market demand and have flowers and ornamental plants for sale all year round.

“In addition to the commune investing in and completing infrastructure for transportation, restrooms, exhibition areas, etc., in Binh Lam flower village there is also the Binh Lam tower relic located in harmony with nature, creating favorable conditions for the locality to develop traditional flower growing villages associated with eco-tourism, experiencing the style of “flower village-tourism village” - Mr. Thanh shared.

According to Mr. Duong Minh Tan, in the near future, the People's Committee of the commune will continue to invest in the construction of architectural landscape and environmental renovation projects in the entire tourist area of Binh Lam flower village.

Build information booths, display houses to introduce and sell agricultural tourism products and traditional craft village products. At the same time, organize training courses, improve knowledge and skills in tourism, foreign languages, raise awareness about community tourism development, etc.

“The tourism model associated with agricultural production in Binh Lam flower village is one of the socio-economic development targets and plans that the locality is focusing on implementing in 2025. The goal is to complete the construction, put the model into operation, develop eco-tourism services, experiences, and increase income for people in the craft village,” Mr. Tan emphasized.
