According to this department, test results from the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene showed that the indicators of protein, sugar, fat, and total energy content were basically consistent with the product's self-declaration.

Safety indicators for microorganisms, fungi, heavy metals... were not detected or were understood to be within safe limits.

However, the National Institute for Food Safety Control also discovered that the product contained Sorbitol, a sweetener, at a content of 33.4 g/100 g, but it was not listed on the product label as required.

The Food Safety Department has sent an official dispatch to the Ho Chi Minh City Food Safety Department and Dak Lak Health Department requesting that violations be handled in accordance with the law.

Thus, the advertisement that 1 candy is equivalent to 1 plate of vegetables is because the people advertising vegetable candy products on social networks have exaggerated the effectiveness.

Regarding this issue, the National Competition Commission is also reviewing and evaluating the case's records and information in accordance with the law on consumer rights protection and related laws. If there is any violation, it will coordinate with relevant agencies to strictly handle it.

Previously, Kera vegetable candy - a product announced by Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company and manufactured at ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company ( Dak Lak ) - was caught up in a scandal of false advertising when it was promoted by Miss Thuy Tien, Quang Linh Vlogs and Hang Du Muc with information spread like "1 candy is equal to a plate of vegetables".

The incident quickly sparked a wave of heated debate in public opinion.

After nearly 2 weeks of the Kera vegetable candy advertisement causing a storm on social networks, on the afternoon of March 14 in Hanoi , for the first time, Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company (CER) held a meeting to provide information about the recent "scandals".

Mr. Le Tuan Linh, representative of CER Company, admitted that the unfortunate mistakes led to false information, affecting everyone.

"We sincerely apologize to customers who have been affected by inaccurate information. At the same time, we deeply accept all comments and feedback from the public," said Mr. Tuan Linh.

At the press conference, Hang Du Muc and Quang Linh Vlogs both bowed their heads and admitted their mistakes, asking for compensation for customers who bought Kera vegetable candy. However, this continued to cause controversy when there were opinions that the way to receive compensation was not guided by those involved...
