Faced with the situation of flood water continuing to rise, Mr. Phan Thien Dinh directed the People's Committees of communes and wards to continue evacuating and moving people in low-lying and flooded areas to safety.
The Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee especially noted that the authorities should prioritize vulnerable groups such as pregnant women, the elderly, children and people with disabilities.
Hue City leaders also requested a review of the stockpiling of materials, vehicles and essential goods, especially in areas that are often isolated by heavy rain and floods, remote areas. At the same time, propaganda should be stepped up so that people can proactively stockpile on-site, preparing for the possibility of prolonged rain and floods.
