Average income of many bank employees is more than 40 million VND/month

As of October 27, 13 joint stock commercial banks have announced their financial reports and preliminary business results for the first 9 months of this year. The general record shows that the banks' profits have grown well, in which deposit interest is the main driving force.

Notably, the average monthly income per employee of banks remains high, over 40 million VND/month.

Leading the way is the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB, stock code: MBB). As of September 30, MB had 18,888 employees, an increase of 249 people compared to the beginning of the year. Accumulated over the past 9 months, the cost for this bank's employees was more than VND8,296 billion, equivalent to an average of VND49.1 million/month spent on each employee.

Ranked second is Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( Techcombank , stock code: TCB). This bank currently has 12,527 employees, an increase of 679 people compared to the beginning of the year. Correspondingly, the average cost the bank pays to each employee is 46.8 million VND/person/month, down 4% compared to the same period last year.

Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (stock code:SHB ) achieved 41.2 million VND/person/month. In the past 9 months, this bank increased 135 employees compared to the beginning of the year to a total of 6,786 employees.

Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (stock code:ACB ) has the same payment level of 41.2 million VND/person/month. As of the end of the third quarter, ACB had 13,022 employees, a decrease of 268 people compared to the beginning of the year.

Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank, stock code: VPB) spent more than VND7,770 billion on employees, up 21% over the same period last year. The total number of employees of this bank as of September 30 was 27,696 people. On average, employees of this bank are paid an income of VND31.3 million/month.

Below the 30 million VND/month mark is Kienlong Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Kienlong Bank, stock code: KLB) spending 27.1 million VND/person/month; Loc Phat Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank (LPBank, stock code: LPB) spending 25.4 million VND/person/month....

However, the above figures are provisional based on income expenses divided by the number of employees of the bank in the financial reporting period. According to experts, this figure does not represent the total income of all departments. At the bank, each employee in different departments and ranks will have different specific income levels.

For example, the salary of bank general directors ranges from hundreds of millions of dong/month, while some departments' employee income is only around tens of millions of dong/month.
