The final round of the Robocar innovation competition for university students in the Central region has ended.

DNO - On May 20, Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology (University of Danang ) organized the final round of the 4th Robocar 2023 innovation contest with the theme Conquering the challenge.

The competition was held from April 16 to May 20, attracting more than 121 teams with 850 students from universities in the Central Highlands region.

Participating in the competition, teams design their own Robocar using materials such as: mica plastic, aluminum structure, foam... with multi-tactical operating structure.

Passing the qualifying round, the 16 finalist teams continued to complete their research and improve their Robocars to ensure functionality, minimize wind resistance, turbocharge engines and improve quality to overcome obstacles in the fastest time, and reduce energy consumption for the robots .

In the final round, each team competes in a relay race consisting of 3 parts: Autonomous car race (self-driving car), Racing car race (manually controlled) and shooting objects at pre-designated locations. The team that reaches the finish line first and completes the tasks set by the organizers is considered the winning team.

In the end, the organizing committee selected and awarded 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize... and 12 Consolation Prizes to the teams with a total prize value of more than 50 million VND. In which, the First Prize belongs to the ARDUOUS SUMMER team, the Second Prize belongs to the NAM NGU team, the Third Prize belongs to the LURECHICKS team. These are teams from the Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology.

It is known that the Robocar innovation contest is held annually by the Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology since 2018 for students majoring in technology - electronics at universities in the Central - Central Highlands region.
