A few days ago, coach Shin Tae Yong commented on the Vietnamese team with caution. The Korean strategist affirmed that he was not sure of winning against the "Golden Dragons" because of difficulties in preparation.

Coach Shin Tae Yong said: "I am not 100% sure that Indonesia can win the two matches against the Vietnamese team. We have many players playing in Europe and have to travel a very long distance.
So for me, the first leg at Bung Karno Stadium on March 21 is more difficult. The second leg in Vietnam on March 26 is much easier. I am optimistic about the squad and want to have the best preparation."
Immediately, coach Shin Tae Yong was criticized. Many opinions said that coach Shin Tae Yong was not serious in the preparation stage and found an excuse to blame before the match against the Vietnamese team. Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Budi Setiawan said: "The Indonesian Football Federation is very active in preparing to win the two matches against the Vietnamese team.
Looking at coach Shin Tae Yong's statement, I'm not sure we can expect much. The Korean coach always finds excuses to blame before every match. This time, the reason is that he is the player who traveled a long distance. It's best if he doesn't say anything more.

A world- class coach never complains about such problems. They always find a way to overcome difficulties.
If coach Shin Tae Yong is not serious in preparing for the remaining matches against Vietnam, the Philippines and Iraq, I think the Indonesian Football Federation needs to decide on the coach's future soon."
To prepare for the match with the Vietnamese team, coach Shin Tae Yong has called up 11 naturalized players. This is the largest number of naturalized players ever seen in the history of Indonesian football.
