On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2023), on the morning of June 11, the Conference to commend and honor advanced models nationwide in the patriotic emulation movement took place solemnly in Hanoi .

People's Teacher, Labor Hero Nguyen Duc Thin - shared about the honor of meeting Uncle Ho twice. Uncle Ho's teachings on the spirit of patriotic emulation have always been engraved in his mind and have been the guiding principle for his future activities.

During his youth, he was a teacher, happily called "village teacher", taught elementary school, taught popular education, taught primary school, taught secondary school, concurrently held the position of Team Leader, Secretary of the Youth Union, then participated in Party work, worked as a Standing Committee of the Central Youth Union, concurrently held the position of Provincial Youth Union, member of the Fatherland Front Committee of the district, province...

“That means I teach but also do social work. In the spring of 1963, when we had a meeting on the topic “advancing to the Youth Union”, I, along with young teachers and students, did not take a day off on Sundays, following Uncle Ho’s words: “Spring is the season for planting trees, making the land more and more springy”. When the summary was so happy, teachers and students launched a new movement to compete “Do a thousand good deeds, practice Uncle Ho’s 5 teachings, strive to become good children of Uncle Ho” - Mr. Nguyen Duc Thin shared.

Also sharing at the program, the female Hero of the People's Armed Forces - Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Thi Tuyen - talked about the honor of being present at the 4th Congress of Heroes and Emulation Soldiers - December 1966 and having the opportunity to meet many times with Uncle Ho.

According to her, the patriotic emulation as taught by Uncle Ho does not distinguish between old and young, male and female, everyone does it. This has permeated deeply into each person and through difficulties and hardships we have achieved many great results today.
