According to the plan, during the training period, 25 Lao People's Army officers will be introduced to topics on environmental management, how to overcome the consequences of environmental pollution caused by toxic chemicals and post-war bombs and mines, topics on military scientific information; research and practice in journalism and skills in writing news, articles, and editing magazines; methods of drafting and publishing newsletters for leaders; how to film, edit films, and record conferences...

Speaking at the opening of the training course, Colonel Le Dinh Vu, Deputy Director of the Department of Military Science, Ministry of National Defense, emphasized that the training course will be the basis for Lao People's Army officers to improve the quality and effectiveness of military scientific information work, environmental management, climate change response, environmental pollution treatment, overcoming the consequences of bombs, mines, and toxic chemicals left over from the war, thereby serving the work of consulting, commanding, managing, operating and implementing in agencies and units in the Lao army.

Colonel Le Dinh Vu suggested that the trainees need to uphold their sense of responsibility, overcome difficulties, increase dialogue and exchange to grasp the lecture content; strictly implement the regulations of the training course, and ensure absolute safety in all aspects.
