Tonight, August 1, in Ho Xa town (Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Vinh Linh district to organize the opening ceremony of the 2024 Quang Tri Provincial Volleyball Championship.

The 2024 Quang Tri Provincial Volleyball Championship will take place from August 1-5, 2024 at the Vinh Linh District Sports and Physical Training Center, with the participation of more than 120 male and female athletes from 11 men's and women's volleyball teams, including 6 men's volleyball teams from Vinh Linh, Gio Linh, Dakrong, Huong Hoa districts, Quang Tri town and Dong Ha city; 5 women's volleyball teams from Gio Linh, Trieu Phong, Vinh Linh, Huong Hoa districts and the Provincial Police.
In men's volleyball, 6 teams are divided into 2 groups A and B, competing in a round robin to determine the 4 teams with the highest and second highest scores in the 2 groups to compete in the semi-finals and finals.
In women's volleyball, 5 teams are divided into 2 groups A and B, competing in a round robin to determine the 2 teams with the highest scores in the 2 groups, 1 team with the second highest score in group A, 1 winning team in the match between the 3rd place team in group A and the 2nd place team in group B to compete in the semi-finals and finals.

The tournament is organized to create a useful playground for athletes to have the opportunity to exchange, learn, share experiences, compete and strengthen solidarity; contribute to promoting the movement of volleyball training and competition more and more widely throughout the province; at the same time, to evaluate the quality of the volleyball movement of localities and units; continue to maintain and promote the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", encourage all classes of people to exercise, improve health to study, work, build and defend the Fatherland.
