QTO - On the afternoon of October 24, information from the Standing Office of the Civil Defense Command of Quang Tri province said that continuous heavy rain caused deep flooding in many low-lying areas along the O Lau River in Nam Hai Lang commune.

Specifically, 6 roads along the O Lau River in the Cang area, Nam Hai Lang commune: An Tho, Phu Kinh, Hoi Dien, My Chanh, Hung Nhon, Cau Nhi are flooded from 0.8 to 1 meter deep. People here are forced to travel by boat because traffic is cut off.

According to information from the People's Committee of Nam Hai Lang commune, Cang is a low-lying area, so it is flooded every time there is heavy rain. This situation has been repeated for many years. Up to this point, fortunately, the harvest has been completed, while the flood water has risen slowly and is now receding, so it has not caused any damage to people's property and production.
