Opening of the 2024 Giap Thin Spring Press Festival and awarding of the 2023 press award on Party building

According to the Office of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, the 2024 Lao Cai Provincial Giap Thin Spring Press Festival with the theme "Lao Cai Press: Innovation - Creativity - Humanity - Modernity".

This spring press festival has the enthusiastic participation of the Vietnam Journalists Association of Lao Cai province, Lao Cai Newspaper, Lao Cai Radio and Television Station, Department of Culture and Sports, Provincial Literature and Arts Association, a number of central press agencies, Department of Information and Communications, Provincial Museum, Provincial Library, postal and telecommunications units in the province... with nearly hundreds of printed publications, magazines, newsletters and many electronic newspapers, special editions, excellent radio and television programs.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Giap Thin Spring Press Festival 2024 in Lao Cai province, journalist Le Truong Giang, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, Director of Lao Cai Provincial Radio and Television Station, affirmed: The Spring Press Festival is an annual traditional activity of journalists in Lao Cai province, creating a colorful cultural playground, contributing to promoting and honoring the strong development of journalism.

2024 is the year of many important cultural and political events of the country and the province. The team of journalists of Lao Cai province continues to accompany the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province to successfully carry out the set goals and tasks; create many outstanding press works of high quality, with strong fighting power, meeting the requirements of political tasks in the new situation.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded the 8th Lao Cai Provincial Press Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) in 2023, including 2 A prizes, 8 B prizes, 10 C prizes and 20 consolation prizes, 4 thematic prizes, honored 3 typical characters in excellent works and 1 typical journalist; rewarded 3 collectives with outstanding achievements in launching, propagating and participating in the award with quality.

Awarding of the 3rd Press Award for propaganda, fighting, preventing corruption, negativity, and waste in 2023, including 1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 3 C prizes, 10 consolation prizes and 3 thematic prizes.

The 2024 Giap Thin Spring Newspaper Festival of Lao Cai province, held at the campus of the Thuong Temple Spring Festival Cultural House in Lao Cai city for 3 days, from February 22 to 25 (from January 13 to 15 of the Giap Thin year), will attract a large number of local people and tourists to visit and read the newspaper./.
