Opening of Vietnam National Brand Week at EXPO 2025

NDO - According to information from the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, on May 26, at the Vietnam Exhibition House, the opening ceremony of Vietnam National Brand Week at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai (Japan) took place.

The Vietnam National Brand Week at EXPO 2025 is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Trade Promotion Agency) in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (International Cooperation Department) and related units. This is the first time an official promotional week for the Vietnam National Brand Program has been organized at a World Expo.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ngo Trinh Ha, Consul General of Vietnam in Osaka, said that the organization of the Vietnam National Brand Week at EXPO 2025 and Osaka City is of great significance when placed in the context of the increasingly deepening Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. This is also a milestone marking more than 20 years of implementing the Vietnam National Brand Program - a national trade promotion program that has been implemented systematically and effectively.

Nearly 100 delegates representing economic, cultural, diplomatic agencies, friendship associations and businesses of Vietnam and Japan attended the opening ceremony.

According to Mr. Bui Quang Hung, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency, Vietnam National Brand Week brings a space to experience Vietnamese brands right in the heart of EXPO 2025, introducing to Japanese and international visitors some typical products and outstanding achievements of the Vietnam National Brand Program, and at the same time is an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to expand trade connections, seek investment cooperation opportunities and sustainable development.

Space to display and introduce Vietnamese products and national brands inside the Exhibition House.

Mr. Maehara Makoto, Director of the International Cooperation Department, Kinki Regional Industrial Economics Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, said that more than 2,000 Japanese enterprises, including many from the Kansai region, have invested and operated in Vietnam.

“Vietnam is currently an extremely important partner for businesses in the Kansai region in particular and Japan in general,” Mr. Makoto emphasized.

Nearly 40 Vietnamese enterprises have products on display or participate in exchanges and connections within the framework of Vietnam National Brand Week at EXPO 2025 with diverse industries such as garment, pharmaceuticals, ceramics, food, industrial equipment, mechanics, technology, etc.

Vietnam National Brand products are displayed at the Festival Station experience room in the EXPO 2025 campus.

The products will be displayed inside the Vietnam Exhibition Hall and the Festival Station experience area at EXPO 2025 from May 26-31.

Vietnam Exhibition House also cooperates with a number of theme exhibition houses of Japanese business associations, corporations and companies such as Future City House (12 leading Japanese enterprises), NTT House (Japan Telephone and Telegraph Corporation), Osaka Healthcare House (representing industries and universities in Osaka province)... to organize meetings and exchanges between the Vietnamese business delegation and the other side.
