Construction of the regional connecting road should be expedited.

To ensure the project's progress, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Transport Project Management Board has directed the construction contractors and supervisory consultants to organize construction in multiple phases, closely monitoring the actual situation. To date, the project has basically completed the road embankment, and is currently finishing the road surface layers. Construction has been completed on 11/11 bridges, 25/28 pedestrian underpasses, 168/191 culverts, 4/4 retaining walls, and the irrigation ditches have been restored.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen, Deputy Director of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Transportation Project Management Board, said: "We are also trying our best in the coming months if the weather is favorable and the land clearance work is completed, so that we can finish on schedule."

The regional connecting road has a design speed of 100 km/h. Upon completion and commissioning, it will be a crucial route connecting the region and creating a strong impetus for socio-economic development in the area.

Mr. Pham Quang Anh, Director of the Department of Transport of Thai Nguyen province, said: "To date, the project has been implemented on schedule and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. The completed road will open up a very important space for the socio-economic development of the province, as well as connecting Thai Nguyen, the center of the region, with surrounding provinces for the exchange of goods, economy, culture and society, especially attracting large investors and FDI capital to develop the province's socio-economic development."
