Urgently recover more than 10.6 billion VND in advance debt for public investment capital

The leader of the Department of Finance of Quang Tri province confirmed that he has just requested units and localities that still owe overdue advances for public investment capital from the state budget to urgently collect the debt.

Accordingly, in Quang Tri province, there are 42 projects with outstanding public investment capital advances of more than VND10.6 billion, including many projects implemented since 2004.

Trieu Phong district is the locality with the highest public investment advance debt of nearly 3.3 billion VND, falling into 3 projects, including the Trieu Thuong Secondary School project (over 1.5 billion VND), the project to invest in building infrastructure to evacuate people from flooded areas of 3 communes (over 1 billion VND). Hai Lang district has the second largest debt with over 2 billion VND.

The Department of Finance requests that units and localities that still owe advances for public investment capital specifically assess the cause of each overdue advance payment, determine the collective and individual responsibilities for repayment, and resolutely and completely handle the debts before rearranging administrative units at district and provincial levels.
