Inauguration and handover of Trieu Thuan Kindergarten

Today, April 17, the People's Committee of Trieu Phong district coordinated with the Department of Foreign Affairs to organize the inauguration and handover ceremony of Trieu Thuan Kindergarten sponsored by the US Indo- Pacific Command. Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong; Head of the Office of Defense Cooperation, US Embassy in Vietnam, Lieutenant Colonel Wei Yuan attended the ceremony.

The Trieu Thuan Kindergarten project has a total investment of 511,814.75 USD, implementation period from 2023 - 2024, including a 2-storey flood-proof building with 6 classrooms and 2 functional rooms.

The project aims to improve facilities and equipment to ensure standards and meet the teaching and learning requirements of teachers and children of Trieu Thuan Kindergarten, contributing to helping the school gradually strive to achieve national standard schools and develop education and training in the right direction in the following years.

This is the 7th project implemented by the US Indo- Pacific Command in cooperation with Quang Tri province since 2005.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong emphasized: The inauguration ceremony of this project has important significance, marking the sustainable and effective cooperation between Quang Tri province and the US Indo-Pacific Command.

The project will be inaugurated and handed over in 2024, a pivotal year, of great significance for Vietnam and the United States to implement cooperation contents within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, cooperation and sustainable development, towards the 30th anniversary of the normalization of Vietnam-US diplomatic relations (1995-2025).

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes to continue receiving long-term attention, cooperation and support from the US Indo-Pacific Command, the Office of Defense Cooperation, and the US Embassy in Vietnam for Quang Tri province.

It is requested that after the inauguration ceremony, the People's Committee of Trieu Phong district, the People's Committee of Trieu Thuan commune and teachers and students of Trieu Thuan Kindergarten continue to preserve, protect, and ensure that the project is used for the right purpose, maximizing investment efficiency, thereby demonstrating the effective cooperation and support of the US Government.
