Inauguration of Dong Hai Ward Headquarters, Le Chan District

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - To celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024), on the afternoon of January 26, the People's Committee of Le Chan district held the inauguration ceremony of the Dong Hai Ward Headquarters (No. 2 Hang Market, Dong Hai Ward).

Attending the event were comrades: Major General Vu Thanh Chuong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Director of the City Police; Tran Thu Huong, member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Le Chan District Party Committee.

The old Dong Hai ward office building has 3 floors, with a total floor area of 1,440 m2. The current construction consists of 2 combined buildings and has been built for many years, through many renovations, repairs, and patchwork, and is not synchronized. On the other hand, many items are degraded, the concrete column and floor structure is cracked and exposed; the plaster covering is peeling and moldy, affecting the working conditions of the ward People's Committee staff as well as the people when they come to contact for work. In addition, some departments are currently not suitable for actual use, affecting the unit's operations.

Therefore, the investment in the construction of a new Dong Hai Ward Headquarters is necessary and urgent to stabilize operations and improve work efficiency in performing tasks as well as create maximum favorable conditions for people in contact and working relations, meeting the goal of improving the appearance of the ward-level government.

The project started on June 14, 2023, after more than 1 year of construction, the project has been completed. The new ward headquarters has 5 floors, construction area of 288 m2. Total construction floor area is 1,488 m2, including 4 steps of 3.7m; 3.2m; 3.0m and 2.6m. There are 2 main spans of 5.80m and 1 corridor span of 3.32m; 1st floor height is 2.7m; 2nd floor height is 3.90m; 3,4,5 floors have the same height of 3.6m; roof height is 2.5m; the finished 1st floor floor is 20cm higher than the outside yard; electricity, water, lightning protection, fire prevention and fighting systems are synchronized. Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the District People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Linh acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the efforts of the District Construction Investment Project Management Board, the unit assigned to act as the investor, the construction organizing units, with the help of the city's Departments and branches, the coordination of relevant departments, offices, units, contractors in planning, design and construction supervision to ensure quality, progress and safety; the active coordination of the Party Committee, government and unions of Dong Hai ward. He emphasized that the new Headquarters will improve the quality and efficiency of serving the people, creating favorable conditions for the staff working in Dong Hai ward to perform their duties.
