Poll: Ms. Harris has an advantage over Mr. Trump

According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on September 24, Ms. Harris's approval rating is approximately 47%, leading Mr. Trump by 6 percentage points (40%). Asked which candidate had a better approach to "the economy , unemployment and jobs," about 43% of voters in the Reuters/Ipsos poll chose Trump and 41% chose Harris. Harris entered the race after President Joe Biden withdrew in July. Both candidates are focusing their pledges on the economy - a top concern for US voters. Trump said on September 24 that he would create special manufacturing zones on federal lands. He also promised to raise tariffs on imported goods. Harris, meanwhile, pledged tax cuts for families with children and higher taxes on corporations. She is expected to unveil new economic proposals this week, although some of her advisers admit time is running out to convince voters of her policies.
