The 22nd Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Friendship Golf Tournament 2025 concluded successfully at Taekwang Jeongsan Golf Course (Nhon Trach, Dong Nai), attracting over 100 domestic and international golfers. This event further affirms its role as a meaningful community sporting event, where cooperation and social responsibility are at the heart of the event.
This year's tournament is not only a sporting event for businesspeople and partners, but also a milestone extending Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam's more than two-decade-long journey: using sports as a bridge to create shared value for society. From a partner appreciation event launched in 2003, the Friendship Golf Tournament has developed into a sustainable fundraising platform closely tied to the goal of "sharing value with the community."
Since 2007, Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam has partnered with the Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Support of Poor Patients, raising over 25 billion VND through a tournament. This funding has created a significant social impact: supporting 380 heart surgeries for children, building 6 medical centers and 4 kindergartens, providing clean water to over 30,000 people, and supporting the treatment of over 500 child cancer patients. These figures not only reflect the effectiveness of a charitable activity but also demonstrate how the company genuinely integrates business development with social responsibility.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ashish Joshi, CEO of Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam, emphasized that for over 30 years in Vietnam, the company has always pursued the vision of "Developing for the greater good," considering creating a positive impact on the community as a core part of its sustainable development strategy. According to him, the Friendship Golf Tournament is a space for businesses and partners to work together to create lasting value for society.
The highlight of the 2025 Friendship Golf Tournament is the fundraising auction themed “Drive the Future Forward”. The auctioned items hold significant spiritual and historical value, ranging from children's drawings participating in the “Mizuiku – Water Conservation, Nurturing the Future” program, a collection of Suntory Global Spirits wines, a Johnnie Walker Blue Label bottle signed by golf legend Greg Norman, to a bottle of Maotai liquor aged over 31 years, linked to the story of friendly cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Shanghai.
Mr. Pham Phu Ngoc Trai, the founder of the Friendship Golf Tournament, affirmed that the tournament has transcended the boundaries of a sporting event, becoming a symbol of sharing and community responsibility—values that need to be upheld, especially in a society that needs more faith and hope.
