When will the temporary rest stop on the highway through Ha Tinh be put into operation?

(Baohatinh.vn) - The temporary rest stop on the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang highway in Cam Hung commune, Ha Tinh province, invested by Xuan Khiem Group, was expected to be operational from September 2 but has not been implemented yet.

Taking advantage of the sunny weather, Xuan Khiem Group Joint Stock Company mobilized many workers, locomotives, and equipment to focus on constructing a rest stop at Km534+310 of Ham Nghi - Vung Ang Expressway in Cam Hung Commune, Ha Tinh Province.

... to the internal roads, the green tree system at the rest stops is basically completed.

The guardrails on both sides of the highway leading to the rest stop are also allowed to be removed so that the contractor can install asphalt on the road connecting the highway with the parking area. The asphalt concrete installation will be carried out in the next 1-2 days.

Mr. Dinh Van Bay - Deputy General Director of Xuan Khiem Group Joint Stock Company said: The unit is focusing on human resources and machinery to speed up the construction process, putting the rest stop into temporary operation in the next 7 to 10 days.

According to the Deputy General Director of Xuan Khiem Group Joint Stock Company, the unit initially planned to put the rest stop into temporary operation on September 2. However, due to many reasons, especially the impact of rainy weather, difficulties in construction material sources, and limited access to the construction site, the plan was delayed.



Apart from the weather factor, up to now, difficulties and problems with construction materials and access roads to the construction site have been basically resolved. For example, instead of using soil for filling the foundation, the unit has switched to using base stone instead - although the cost is more expensive, in return it saves time and speeds up the construction progress.

In the coming days, the investor will focus on paving the roads of the rest stop. Although it is a temporary rest stop, it basically ensures the requirements for drivers to stop and rest with a parking lot that can accommodate 200 cars at the same time, has a fuel station, a canteen, and a guaranteed restroom.

"The rest stop on the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang highway will be temporarily exploited in the first months and will be officially put into operation by June 2025," Mr. Dinh Van Bay - Deputy General Director of Xuan Khiem Group Joint Stock Company added.

The North-South Eastern Expressway project passing through Ha Tinh has a total length of more than 107km with 4 component projects in 2 phases 2017-2020 (Dien Chau - Bai Vot Expressway) and 2021-2025 (Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang and Vung Ang - Bung Expressway). Up to now, all 4 expressway sections passing through Ha Tinh have been officially put into operation.

On the highway through Ha Tinh, there are 2 rest stops located at Km478+200 Dien Chau - Bai Vot highway in Duc Quang commune (Yen Ho commune, old Duc Tho district) and Km534+310 Ham Nghi - Vung Ang highway in Cam Hung commune (Cam Hung commune, old Cam Xuyen district).

The rest stop on the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang highway in Cam Hung commune has an area of ​​10 hectares (5 hectares on each side) invested by Xuan Khiem Group Joint Stock Company; the rest stop on the Dien Chau - Bai Vot highway in Duc Quang commune has an area of ​​6 hectares (3 hectares on each side) invested by a joint venture of Vietnam National Petroleum Group ( Petrolimex ) - Thua Thien Hue Petroleum Company.

A highway rest stop is a structure belonging to the road traffic infrastructure, built on the highway to provide services for people and vehicles participating in traffic, including free public services such as parking lots, restrooms, rest areas, temporary rest rooms for drivers, and commercial facilities such as restaurants, gas stations, and repair service stations.
