Commencement of construction and renovation of the Traditional Education Area of the Education Sector

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Social Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Kim Son, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Education and Training ; Mr. Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Nong Thi Bich Hue, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee; representatives of officials, teachers, students of the provincial education sector and local people.

The relic site was the headquarters of the Ministry of National Education during the resistance war against France (1951 to 1954).

During this period, the Ministry of National Education had important decisions and directions on national education development, contributing significantly to the victory of our nation's resistance war against French colonialism and laying a solid foundation for the long-term education career.

In 2006, the National Education Monument was ranked as a National Monument, becoming a traditional educational red address for generations of cadres, teachers and staff in the Education and Training sector nationwide.

The Minister gave gifts to households donating land.

In 2011, the Ministry of Education and Training invested in the construction of a relic site in Khuon Tru with a total area of 3,864 square meters, including a stone stele, a lawn and auxiliary works. However, after more than a decade, many items have deteriorated and have not yet fully promoted their educational significance.

Entering 2025, with financial support of VND 9.5 billion from the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group (PetroVietNam), the restoration project will be implemented by the Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Corporation - PVEP.

The scholarship fund was awarded to four schools in Yen Nguyen commune.

Key works include: building new traditional education houses; renovating and upgrading auxiliary works, toilets, fences, landscapes and especially renovating 2km of concrete road from the national highway.

The Ministry of Education and Training has assigned the Ministry's Project Management Board as the Investor, coordinating with other parties to ensure the project is completed with quality and meaning, turning this place into a red address, a truly traditional educational space.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son emphasized that this is a very meaningful project to educate the tradition for cadres, teachers and students in the whole sector. To make this place become a "red address" for traditional education and promote cultural and educational values. The project, after completion and put into use, will contribute to spreading good values.

The Minister of Education and Training also thanked the units, sponsors, authorities and local people for protecting, preserving and promoting the value of the National Education Monument. At the same time, he hoped that the authorities and local people would continue to manage and make good use of the works in the relic site, consider it a cultural space and organize meaningful community activities. Thereby contributing to preserving and further spreading the values of the National Education Monument.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Education and Training presented 40 gifts to teachers in difficult circumstances in the province and to people who donated land to build the relic site; PetroVietnam Group presented 250 million VND to the Scholarship Fund of 4 schools in the relic site.

Before the groundbreaking ceremony, delegates offered incense and flowers at the National Education Ministry relic in Khuon Tru village, Yen Nguyen commune.

The delegates expressed their gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of previous generations, cadres and teachers who laid the foundation for the development of the Education and Training sector. At the same time, they expressed their determination to unite and make efforts to build the Education and Training sector firmly on the path of integration and development.
