Can Tho Education , the journey back to reach far
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council; Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Tran Van Huyen, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; leaders of the City People's Council and People's Committee; representatives of leaders of the City's Departments, Boards and Branches.
After 43 years, Vietnam Teachers' Day November 20 has become a meaningful milestone. This is an occasion for society to express gratitude and honor teachers who are working day and night diligently and dedicating themselves to the cause of "cultivating people".


Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee congratulated and reviewed the tradition of "Respecting teachers and valuing education" - the enduring cultural source of our nation, which has been summarized since ancient times.
Mr. Khoi said that in recent years, the city's education and training sector has constantly innovated, strived to overcome difficulties, and improved the quality of teaching and learning. Specifically, the quality of key education has always been at the top of the Mekong Delta region, with many national and regional awards; the quality of mass education at all levels has always improved through each school year.
Many teachers have achieved the titles of Excellent Teacher, Emulation Fighter, People's Teacher, Excellent Teacher, Labor Medal, Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister, Ministry of Education and Training , City People's Committee. These are typical examples, worthy of honor.

On behalf of the city's leaders, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi acknowledged, commended and expressed deep gratitude to generations of teachers, education managers and workers in the city's education and training sector.
Mr. Khoi affirmed: “The city leaders always care, accompany, and create the most favorable conditions for the teaching staff to promote their capacity, enthusiasm, and creativity. From there, they contribute to building an advanced, modern, humane, and integrated city education system, worthy of being the educational center of the region and the whole country.”
The Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee also called on all levels, sectors, and the entire society to continue to join hands and stand side by side with the city's Department of Education and Training, and with teachers in the career of educating people.
At the ceremony, delegates and teachers attending the meeting watched the video clip "Can Tho Education - Journey back to reach further", to look back at the beautiful images and persistent efforts of the city's teaching staff throughout the past journey.
Sharing at the meeting, Mr. Bui Van Dung, former Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hau Giang province (old), had heartfelt messages, which are a valuable source of encouragement for today's teaching staff.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented fresh bouquets of flowers and meaningful souvenirs to the former leaders of the Department of Education and Training, as a deep gratitude for their valuable contributions to the education sector.


Bringing the education and training career to strong development
Last school year, for educational institutions under the Department of Education and Training, 2,022 individuals were awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level, 15 Emulation Fighters at the city level, 167 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, and 24 individuals received the Third Class Labor Medal.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the Decision and performed the ceremony to award the Third Class Labor Medal, a noble award from the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to individuals with outstanding achievements in education and training.




At the meeting, Ms. Tran Thi Huyen, Acting Director of the City Department of Education and Training, expressed her deep feelings and gratitude to the city leaders, delegates and all teachers on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.
On behalf of the entire industry, Ms. Tran Thi Huyen received, thoroughly grasped and will coordinate to effectively implement the instructions of the city leaders and the useful recommendations of former leaders of the Department of Education and Training through the periods.

“The entire city's education and training sector continues to implement and concretize the Party's policies and the State's laws in accordance with the city's socio-economic development conditions and the existing conditions of the sector and each educational institution.
In particular, we need to pay attention to building and nurturing a team of teachers and educational managers, ensuring that the team has the capacity to meet the requirements of education and training innovation, adapt to innovative methods and diversify teaching forms, have standard moral qualities, are passionate and dedicated to the profession, and are truly role models for students to follow...", Ms. Tran Thi Huyen emphasized.
Ms. Tran Thi Huyen, Acting Director of the City Department of Education and Training, believes that with the joint efforts and hearts, all civil servants and public employees of the Education and Training sector will continue to strive to excellently fulfill the task of caring for and educating the city's future generations in the new period. Bringing the Education and Training career to increasingly strong development, contributing worthily to the cause of building and developing the homeland of Can Tho, rich, civilized and affectionate.
