Prosecution and temporary detention of Director and Deputy Director of Inspection Center 81-05D

On May 30, Gia Lai Provincial Police informed about the prosecution, temporary detention, and search of the residence and workplace of the Director and Deputy Director of Inspection Center 81-05D for accepting bribes to inspect the technical safety and environmental protection quality of motor vehicles in violation of the law.

The arrested subjects all work at the 81-05D Motor Vehicle Inspection Center, including: Tran Minh Luong (53 years old, Director) and Le Dinh Vuong (41 years old, Deputy Director).

The Investigation Police Agency of Gia Lai Provincial Police and the Provincial People's Procuracy have organized the execution of the Decision to prosecute the accused, searched their residence and workplace, issued arrest warrants, and detained Tran Minh Luong and Le Dinh Vuong to investigate the crime of Receiving bribes as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 354 of the Penal Code 2015, amended and supplemented in 2017.

According to preliminary investigation results, from 2021 to 2022, during the process of motor vehicle inspection, the defendants Tran Minh Luong and Le Dinh Vuong received money from many individuals to legalize the acceptance records of technical safety and environmental protection quality of motor vehicles in violation of the law.

Center 81-05D belongs to Cao Nguyen Inspection Company Limited (address Lot C50, Dien Phu Industrial Cluster, Village 3, Dien Phu Commune, Pleiku City, Gia Lai Province)

Authorities are continuing to investigate in accordance with the law.
