Prosecution of the subject who brought a gun into a house and shot randomly, threatening to kill people

On May 17, the Investigation Police Agency of Ba Don Town Police ( Quang Binh Province) announced that it had issued a decision to initiate a criminal case, prosecute the accused and issue an order to detain Nguyen Duc Quy (born in 1983, residing in Tho Don Residential Group, Quang Tho Ward, Ba Don Town) to investigate and handle the act of "Threatening to kill".

Initial investigation results determined that at around 4:00 p.m. on May 12, Ms. Nguyen Thi PH (residing in Minh Loi Residential Group, Quang Tho Ward, Ba Don Town) contacted and texted Nguyen Duc Quy to request payment for construction materials.

During the texting process, a conflict arose between the two parties. At around 5:15 p.m. the same day, Nguyen Duc Quy drove a car with license plate 73A - 186.70 to Ms. H's house carrying a black pistol.

After getting out of the car, the subject went into the living room and met Mr. Phan CV (Ms. H.'s husband). Seeing Quy coming to find his wife, Mr. V. went out to meet Quy and said: "My wife hasn't come home from work yet, she's not at home."

Hearing that, Quy went in, held the gun in his right hand, raised it and fired 4 consecutive shots straight into the wall areas inside the house. Then Quy hugged and held Mr. V down, held the gun in his right hand and pointed it at Mr. V's head, while threatening to shoot.

A moment later, Quy pushed Mr. V. away, continued to hold the gun and fired another shot into the wall of the house, then went from room to room looking for Ms. H. but was not there.

At this time, Mr. Phan Xuan V. and Mrs. Nguyen Thi L. (Mr. V.'s biological parents) heard the gunshots so they came down from the second floor. Seeing Quy threatening their son, they tried to stop him. However, Quy continued to curse and repeatedly pointed a gun at Mr. V. and his parents to threaten them.

Immediately after the incident, Ba Don Town Police organized forces to conduct initial investigation measures, quickly arrested Nguyen Duc Quy, and seized all related evidence, including the gun that Quy used to carry out the act of threatening to kill.

The Investigation Police Agency of Ba Don Town Police is continuing to investigate, expand and prepare a case file for handling in accordance with the provisions of law.
