Prosecution of former Head of District Department of Natural Resources and Environment

On June 17, Ha Giang Provincial Police and the Investigation Police Agency of Bac Quang District Police issued a decision to prosecute and ban Linh Van Tuc (born in 1969, residing in Hung An Commune, Bac Quang District) from leaving his place of residence to investigate the crime of "Taking advantage of position and power while performing official duties".

According to the investigation, during the period from 2013 to 2015, while holding the position of Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bac Quang district, defendant Tuc took advantage of his position and power to intentionally violate the provisions of the law in the process of implementing the economic contract between the agency and the Geodetic and Mapping Consulting Joint Stock Company (located in Van Lam district, Hung Yen).

This illegal act has caused damage to the State budget of nearly 3 billion VND.

The case is under investigation and clarification.
