Pork belly costs about 150,000 VND/kg, beef 250,000 VND/kg, squid 250,000 VND/kg, and white-leg shrimp 200,000 VND/kg.
In general, the goods are fresh, of good quality, and the vegetables and fruits are safe for food. Retailers try to attract customers and do not increase prices to avoid consumers.
The Department of Industry and Trade said that the total retail sales of goods and service revenue in July in Quang Nam is estimated at nearly VND6,500 billion (up 3.3% compared to the previous month, up 12.6% compared to the same period). Of which, retail sales of goods in July are estimated at nearly VND4,500 billion. Accumulated in the first 7 months of the year, commercial revenue is estimated at VND98,500 billion (up 14.9% compared to the same period last year). Retail sales revenue in the past 7 months is estimated at VND30,300 billion (up 9.5% compared to the same period).
In Hoi An City, Ms. Tang Thi Thanh Thuy is a wholesaler of consumer goods (bowls, bowls, chopsticks, basins, pots, tables, chairs, glasses, plastic baskets, blankets, pillows, water filters, etc.) in the area and neighboring localities. According to Mr. Le Vu Thuong, commercial activities in the province have improved and developed in terms of quantity, scale and service quality.
In addition, the wholesale and retail store system is widely distributed, covering rural and mountainous areas, creating favorable conditions for the trading of goods, contributing to stimulating production and consumption.
The industry and trade sector continues to closely monitor the supply and demand and market prices of essential goods to promptly have solutions to stabilize the market, especially for some essential goods serving people's daily lives.
Mr. Le Can - Deputy Director of the Quang Nam Market Management Department said that since the beginning of July, there has been no increase in prices of essential goods and consumer goods in the province. In the coming time, the unit will strictly control the circulation of goods in the market; coordinate with the industry and trade sector to regulate, ensure supply, and stabilize the market.
“The important task of the Quang Nam Market Management Department is to monitor the implementation of price declaration measures, price posting, and price information disclosure of supermarkets, shopping malls, and wholesale markets. We will strictly handle organizations and individuals who violate the law and take advantage of peak times to increase prices unreasonably and contrary to regulations,” Mr. Can emphasized.
