Kim Thanh provides other support for people whose land is recovered at the National Highway 5 intersection project over 34 billion VND

A resident expressed his opinion to the Kim Thanh District Resettlement Support Compensation Council about support payment.

Kim Thanh District has just decided to provide other support to 118 households whose land area was recovered to serve the site clearance of the Project to build an intersection connecting National Highway 17B with National Highway 5, Hanoi - Hai Phong railway through Kim Xuyen commune. The total support amount is over 34 billion VND.

Of which, the district supported 31 households with house rentals, totaling 1.4 billion VND. 89 households were supported with costs for demolition, moving and clearing houses and living facilities, amounting to more than 12.8 billion VND. 45 households were supported with costs for moving, cutting and clearing trees and crops grown on illegally used land, amounting to nearly 70.7 million VND. 101 households were supported with costs for investing in the remaining land for households using land that was formed before October 15, 1993, amounting to more than 5 billion VND. 21 households with garden and pond land in the same plot of land with houses but not recognized as residential land, amounting to more than 15.5 billion VND.

Other support for households is implemented according to Clause 2, Article 108 of the 2024 Land Law. That is, in addition to support when the State recovers land according to regulations, based on the actual situation in the locality, the Provincial People's Committee decides on other measures and levels of support to ensure housing, stabilize life and production for people whose land is recovered, and property owners for each specific project. In this project, the Provincial People's Committee has authorized the district level to implement.

By early January 2025, Kim Thanh district had completed site clearance for the Project to build an interchange connecting National Highway 17B with National Highway 5, Hanoi - Hai Phong railway through Kim Xuyen commune, and at the same time completed the disbursement of public investment capital for the project with an amount of more than 330 billion VND, 1 month ahead of schedule.

To implement the project, Kim Thanh district must reclaim more than 15 hectares of residential and agricultural land from 291 organizations and individuals.
