Binh Duong is considered the industrial capital of the country. With strong domestic resources and its proximity to Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong's urbanization rate is rapid. Currently, Binh Duong has four cities: Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An, Di An, and Tan Uyen.
Binh Duong province also ranked 3rd in the list of the top 10 localities nationwide in attracting foreign investment in 2024.

Many provinces and cities have similar high school exam scores in relation to the size of their economies.
Furthermore, among the top 10 provinces and cities with the highest exam scores, only Hai Phong (ranked 6th – 7.15 points) made it into the top 10 in terms of economic scale. The port city currently ranks 5th with a total product value of 402 trillion VND. Budget revenue in 2023 reached over 100 trillion VND (ranked 3rd).
Conversely, there is a certain similarity between the localities with the lowest exam scores and the size of their economies.

Notably, the two economic powerhouses, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, did not achieve impressive rankings in the 2024 high school graduation exam average scores. While Ho Chi Minh City ranked 20th, Hanoi only ranked 22nd.
