7th session of the 15th National Assembly: National Assembly deputies discuss in groups about socio-economic development plans, anti-waste work, gender equality - Lang Son Electronic Newspaper

a50af6cc620258b4d1a1de5f44d56c17.jpg - On the morning of May 23, continuing the working program at the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly Delegation of the province led by Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province participated in the discussion at Discussion Group No. 13 with the National Assembly Delegations of the provinces: Bac Ninh, Hau Giang, Dak Lak on the additional assessment of the results of the implementation of the socio -economic development plan and the state budget in 2023; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in the first months of 2024; the practice of thrift and anti-waste in 2023; the results of implementing national goals on gender equality in 2023.

At the group discussion, there were 9 opinions expressed, and the National Assembly deputies of the provinces basically agreed with the reports brought up for discussion.

Delegate Luu Ba Mac, National Assembly Delegation of the province, spoke at the group discussion.

Speaking at the group discussion, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation had 2 delegates, Luu Ba Mac and Pham Trong Nghia, speaking and contributing their opinions to the Government 's report No. 230 on the supplementary assessment of the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan in 2023; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan in 2024 and gender equality work. Basically, the 2 delegates all   highly appreciated the Government's efforts in implementing the socio-economic targets assigned by the National Assembly for 2023 and 2024. However, the two delegates also suggested that the Government have more drastic solutions to solve the remaining problems such as:   The number of people applying for unemployment benefits has increased; the burden of tuberculosis and drug-resistant tuberculosis is high compared to other countries in the world ; the gender imbalance at birth has not decreased; production and business activities of enterprises and   aviation industry   still many difficulties...

Delegates from Lang Son province suggested that the drafting committee consider adding more solutions to effectively support businesses and import and export activities across the border; pilot the construction of smart border gates between Vietnam and China; solutions to promote and apply information technology and artificial intelligence in spreading positive information on cyberspace as well as in the fight against and prevention of sabotage activities, handling bad, toxic and untrue information on cyberspace; strengthen the management of information, press and information on social networks...

Delegate Pham Trong Nghia, National Assembly Delegation of Lang Son province, spoke at the discussion group.

Regarding gender equality, the Lang Son provincial delegate suggested that the drafting committee review and re-evaluate the indicators on the proportion of female students newly recruited in the vocational education system and the proportion of female PhDs in the total number of PhDs because currently these two indicators have exceeded the targets set for 2025 and 2030.

In the afternoon of the same day, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the results of supervising the settlement of voters' petitions sent to the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Delegate Chu Thi Hong Thai, National Assembly Delegation of the province, spoke at the meeting hall.

Speaking at the meeting, delegate Chu Thi Hong Thai, the provincial National Assembly delegation, highly appreciated the report of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the results of monitoring responses and resolving voters' petitions sent to the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly. At the same time, the delegate requested ministries and branches to speed up the resolution of voters' petitions that have been sent for a long time but have not yet had results; recommended the Government to continue researching solutions to solve the current shortage of teachers...

According to the program, on May 24, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the report on explanation, acceptance and revision of the draft Law on Archives (amended); discussed in groups the draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Guards and the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Support Tools (amended).
