On the afternoon of November 28, the working delegation of the Women's Union of Hua Phan province (Laos) led by Comrade Nheng Phet - Bun Mi Xay, Provincial Party Committee member, President of the Provincial Women's Union and the Women's Union of Thanh Hoa province assessed the results of the implementation of the content of the memorandum of understanding for the period 2022-2024; signed the Memorandum of Understanding for the period 2024-2026.

At the signing ceremony, representatives of the leaders of the Women's Unions of the two provinces briefly reported on the socio-economic development situation of the two provinces, the women's movement as well as the results of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Women's Union of Hua Phan province and the Women's Union of Thanh Hoa province for the period 2022-2024.

Accordingly, the Women's Unions of the two provinces have promoted propaganda and raised awareness of the guidelines, policies and foreign affairs of the two Parties and States and people-to-people diplomacy activities between the two provinces for female cadres and members; raised awareness of Vietnam-Laos border security work, prevented illegal migration, illegal marriages, and combated social evils.

The Women's Unions of the two provinces regularly visit, exchange and learn from each other's experiences in developing the organization, bringing practical results to women members in economic development, health care, and improving the lives of women and children.

Regarding mobilizing support activities, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union donated 100 million VND to the Hua Phan Provincial Women's Union to build a livelihood model and a shelter for members and poor women in Hua Phan Province; coordinated to support health examination and treatment for children with congenital disabilities and officials of the Hua Phan Provincial Women's Union...

The President of Thanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union and the President of Hua Phan Provincial Women's Union exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding for the 2024-2026 period.

The Women's Unions of the two provinces signed a memorandum of understanding for the period 2024-2026 with the following contents: Strengthening propaganda, education, and mobilizing women in the two provinces in general and in the border districts in particular to effectively implement the Border Regulation Agreement between Vietnam and Laos. Exchanging experiences, creating favorable conditions for economic development, poverty reduction, health care, and improving the lives of women and children. Directing the Women's Unions of the border districts to coordinate with the border guards to protect border security, and strengthen the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

The two sides agreed to organize rotations and exchange experiences every two years, and effectively implement the memorandum of understanding for the 2024-2026 period.
