Record holder for colored palm painting

Mr. Vo Van Tang (residing in Nui Sap town, Thoai Son district, An Giang) is considered a prodigy in painting on palm leaves. Recently, he has been successful with colored palm leaf paintings.

This is a big breakthrough because painting or mixing colors on palm leaves like oil painting is very difficult, no artist has been able to do it.

In 2010, Mr. Tang was recognized by the Vietnam Book of Records Center with two records: "Artisan making the most palm leaf paintings in Vietnam" and "The largest painting of Uncle Ho's will made from palm leaves in Vietnam".

Since 2008, Mr. Tang has established a palm leaf mosaic production facility and every year he has a high income from selling palm leaf mosaic paintings with types of paintings such as: Uncle Ton Memorial Area, Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton, successful horses, Buddha paintings, nature paintings, animals...
