Associate Professor, Dr. Do Hong Quan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Hue City Union of Literature and Arts Associations on the occasion of its 80th anniversary.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Khoa Diem, former member of the Politburo , former Head of the Central Committee for Ideology and Culture; Associate Professor, Dr. Do Hong Quan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee; Mr. Ho Thang, Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, along with leaders and former leaders of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations through the periods.

At the ceremony, Mr. Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc, Chairman of the Hue City Literature and Arts Association, emphasized that the 80-year journey of Hue literature and arts is closely linked to the country's major turning points. Since the establishment of the Thua Thien National Salvation Cultural Federation in 1945, generations of Hue artists and writers have chosen the path of being attached to the nation's destiny, devoting themselves to creating and serving the Fatherland. During the resistance war, many literary, musical and artistic works were born and became a strong anti-war voice, affirming the desire for freedom and national unity.

Entering the period of peace, the Hue City Literature and Arts Association has grown steadily, currently having more than 750 members active in many fields. Generations of artists have created a rich artistic flow, both inheriting and innovating, contributing to preserving and promoting Hue's cultural identity, while contributing to the overall development of literature and arts in the country.

The celebration is an opportunity to pay tribute to previous generations, affirm the role of Hue artists in the spiritual life of the country, and at the same time motivate new creations, contributing to the goal of building and developing a beautiful, culturally rich and modern Hue city.
