Celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Party Committee (July 29, 1930 - July 29, 2025): The Party is in the hearts of the people - the people trust the Party

Reality has proven that in any environment or circumstance, any policy that is in line with the people's wishes and supported by the people, no matter how difficult, will be successfully implemented.

Expanding village roads, "every inch of gold" is donated

Leading us on the wide, airy, clean village road that has just been invested in and expanded not long ago, Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of Thai Hoc Village (Cam Tu Commune) Cao Thi Van could not hide her joy: This road used to be a dirt road, in the rainy season it was full of mud, in the dry season it was dusty. Whenever people had to go out of the commune, they had to wait for a sunny day to go, if they went on a rainy day, they could only walk because bicycles and motorbikes were very slippery... Therefore, to invest in building a concrete road like today is a process of effort and hard work of cadres, party members and people in the village.

Right from the beginning of building the new rural village to the construction of the model new rural village, the cadres and party members of Thai Hoc village determined that the first thing to do was to expand and concretize the roads to serve the travel and trade of the people and to make it convenient for students to go to school. The cadres and party members of the village party have stepped up propaganda work so that the people understand, believe and actively support. Thanks to the effective coordination between "Party's will - people's heart", the land donation to expand the roads has had a great influence, becoming a widespread movement that has been responded to by the people. When building the model new rural village alone, the whole village had 36 households volunteering to donate about 1,284m2 of land and 830m of fence, along with 170 million VND in cash to build roads.

Delighted that the roads in the village are now clean and concreted, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tay, a resident who volunteered to donate 30m of fence to widen the village road, said: At first, "when we heard about the policy of building a road, the locality mobilized to donate land, my family was also very hesitant, because "every inch of land is gold", but when we heard about the long-term benefits, the whole family agreed. The road that was formed is a clear reflection of the results between "the Party's will - the people's heart".

Not only in Thai Hoc village, now, going to all localities in the province, it is not difficult to see wide, clean, and airy village roads with colorful flowers on both sides... These are all the results of the consensus of "Party's will - people's heart" in joining hands to donate land for traffic roads. According to statistics, in the period of 2021-2025, the people of the whole province donated over 198 hectares of land to build rural infrastructure, village roads, alleys, irrigation works... contributing to changing the face, making the face of the countryside increasingly prosperous.

Joy in new homes

Despite the scorching heat of July, inside the newly built house of Mr. Giang A Di's family, Kham 2 village (Trung Ly commune), there were still quite a few relatives and neighbors coming to congratulate. Mr. Di emotionally said: "Thanks to Directive No. 22-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the Campaign to support housing construction for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province, my family was supported with 80 million VND, and boldly borrowed more from banks and relatives to build a new house with a total value of 200 million VND. During the construction process, the local government as well as villagers came to support, so the house was completed earlier than expected. The house is the dream of the poor, not only helping us "settle down and make a living" but also helping people to have more confidence in the Party's policies and guidelines, and the State's policies and laws".

No longer a dream, poor families living in temporary and dilapidated houses in Trung Ly commune have been replaced by spacious and solid houses. Comrade Lau Van Phia, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Trung Ly commune, said: In the period of 2024-2025, Trung Ly commune was assigned to support 284 households to build and repair houses, including 252 newly built households and 32 repaired households according to Directive No. 22. To speed up the progress, the commune has assigned tasks to each member to coordinate with the villages to review the subjects with housing difficulties in a strict, objective, and correct manner; assign cadres and party members to support the people... Thanks to that, up to now, all 284/284 households in the commune have started to build and repair houses. Of which, 253 households have completed, the remaining 31 newly built households are under construction. The houses built from Directive No. 22 not only bring joy and happiness, but also become the driving force to help ethnic minorities persevere in their efforts to rise up, gradually overcome difficulties, and escape poverty sustainably.

Implementing Directive No. 22 - a humane policy of the Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, up to now, thousands of dilapidated, rickety houses that only temporarily sheltered from the sun and rain have been replaced by new, solid and spacious houses. Currently, the whole province has 12,919/14,780 households that have completed house construction, while 1,861 households are under construction. The program has mobilized more than 1,608 billion VND, of which the State budget is more than 384 billion VND, the rest is socialized funding.

With new houses, poor households and households with housing difficulties feel more secure when the rainy and stormy season comes or when the harsh winter cold spells come, and they are also more confident in developing the economy and stabilizing their lives. At the conference to review the program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in the province, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Doan Anh also emphasized: "Each completed house is not only a shelter from the rain and sun, but also a symbol of faith, revival and motivation to rise up and escape poverty sustainably, and also a demonstration of the goodness of the socialist regime".
