According to the Departmentof Education and Training, this year is the first year of organizing the 10th grade entrance exam according to the 2018 General Education Program. The Department of Education and Training has received many positive responses from students. The exam is assessed as being within the students' ability, clearly differentiated, creating opportunities for good and excellent students to demonstrate their abilities, while not causing too much pressure for average students.

Over the course of 4 exams, more than 99% of the total number of candidates registered took the exam, with no violations of exam regulations. The exam was organized seriously, in accordance with regulations, ensuring absolute safety from preparation to implementation.

Director of the Department of Education and Training Tran Thi Ngoc Diem said that to achieve this result, preparations were carried out very early. The Department has directed units to review and thoroughly inspect facilities, personnel, and equipment for the exam; at the same time, organize training for exam staff, instruct schools on how to use exam management software, and support candidates to register for the exam online conveniently and in accordance with regulations.

The Department has also closely coordinated with functional sectors, such as: Provincial Police, Health , Electricity, People's Committees of districts, towns, cities... to proactively prepare response plans for all possible situations.
