This activity not only causes loss of national resources, but also has many potential consequences for the environment and social order. In this situation, the local government and functional forces have deployed many drastic and synchronous measures, stepped up raids, and gradually prevented and handled violations.

During a recent forest raid conducted by the Da Ra Hoa Forest Protection Management Station in sub-region 142, authorities inspected many suspicious locations.
Although at the time of inspection, the units did not detect any illegal miners at the scene, the Working Group discovered and destroyed many means and equipment used for illegal mining such as: vibrating rig, D24 engine, generator, 40 meters of water pipe and two shacks.
Mr. Hoang Trung Tin, Deputy Station Manager of Da Ra Hoa Forest Protection and Management Station
These are pre-fabricated exhibits for illegal tin mining, located deep in the forest, in rugged terrain and with difficult traffic.

The determination to destroy these vehicles not only prevents the possibility of reuse by violators, but also demonstrates the strong fighting spirit of local authorities in protecting resources and the environment.

In order to step up the crackdown on illegal mining activities in the area, the People's Committee of Lac Duong commune has issued a plan to coordinate patrolling, forest inspection, land management and mineral resources in 2025. The focus of the plan is to tighten management, promptly detect and handle hot spots related to deforestation, encroachment on forest land and illegal mining.
From 2020 - 2025, on Lac Duong commune area Detected and handled 5 violations in the field of mineral exploitation with a total fine of more than 164.9 million VND . The cases show that illegal mining is still a serious problem . complex , especially in deep forest areas , difficult to control area
Mr. Do Dai Duong, Head of the Economic Department of Lac Duong Commune, said that recently, the commune has strengthened the work of searching and clearing illegal mineral exploitation with the synchronous participation of many forces. In addition to the leaders of the Commune People's Committee, there are also the police, military command, economic department, forest rangers and forest management units.
In particular, agencies such as Bidoup - Nui Ba National Park, Da Nhim Protective Forest Management Board, land and forest leasing enterprises and households contracted to protect forests also actively cooperated.

Thanks to this consensus and determination, the raids have gradually isolated and handled key areas such as: Sub-areas 118, 132, 133, Da Khai hydropower area, sub-areas 93, 94b belonging to the forest area of Thien Thai Joint Stock Company, sub-areas 97, 120, 121 and some areas belonging to the old enterprises of Da Nhim. These places are considered "hot spots" of illegal mineral exploitation.

At the same time, violators are also counted, classified for education , deterrence and handling in accordance with the law. Thanks to that, many cases have voluntarily stopped mining activities; at the same time, the government has a basis for tighter management.
In addition to the raids, the Lac Duong commune government has also stepped up propaganda to raise people's awareness of the harmful effects of illegal mining. People are encouraged to participate in forest protection and report violations. Some households contracted to manage forests have become important "eyes and ears", helping authorities quickly detect signs of illegal mining.

The government also sets the goal of sustainable resource management, linked to the development of people's livelihoods. In fact, the root cause of illegal mining activities partly comes from the need to make a living. Therefore, supporting the development of agricultural production models, eco-tourism, and creating alternative livelihoods is a long-term direction to reduce pressure on mineral resources.

Although recent raids have brought positive results, illegal mining still has the potential to recur. Some subjects take advantage of the rugged mountainous terrain and difficult traffic to secretly mine. Therefore, the People's Committee of Lac Duong commune has determined to continue to maintain regular patrol activities, strengthen coordination between forces, and strictly handle violations.
With the drastic and synchronous participation of the government and functional forces, Lac Duong has been gradually controlling the illegal mining situation. Along with the crackdown, the locality also focuses on sustainable development solutions, aiming at the goal of both protecting resources and improving people's lives. This is an important foundation for building a Lac Duong with stable development, in harmony between economy and environment.
