Lam Dong carefully prepares for military recruitment in 2026

Officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command and local government organizations propagate and guide young people about the Law on Military Service and military recruitment in 2026.

Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi has just signed and issued Plan No. 3041/KH-UBND on selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2026.

Accordingly, military recruitment must ensure publicity, transparency, fairness, and compliance with the law, with the motto "recruiting the right person", striving to complete 100% of assigned targets.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Military Command to preside over and coordinate with the Provincial Police, the Department of Health , relevant departments, branches and localities to advise on the issuance of a system of documents to lead and direct military recruitment work; guide the Military Command, the Commune and Ward Police to do a good job of advising the Party Committees and authorities to fully and correctly implement the military recruitment steps.

The provincial police are responsible for directing the grassroots police force to strictly manage citizens of military age; coordinate with military agencies to unify quotas, conduct political reviews, and grasp the background and moral qualities of each young person before enlistment; and strictly handle violations of the Law on Military Service.

Localities combine socialized resources to effectively implement military rear policies in military recruitment.

The Department of Health is assigned to preside over the establishment of the Military Service Health Examination Council, guide commune-level health stations to organize preliminary selection and health examination in accordance with regulations, ensuring strictness and objectivity.

Relevant sectors actively coordinate to carry out propaganda and education work to raise youth awareness of the responsibility to protect the Fatherland; coordinate to mobilize and widely propagate so that young people are self-conscious and ready to join the army.

In particular, the People's Committees of communes and wards are responsible for "fully implementing" the military recruitment work; perfecting the Military Service Council with the right and sufficient members; selecting citizens with good health and appropriate qualifications, giving priority to young people with education, technical expertise, union members, and party members.

The young men were excited and confident as they entered the army in the solemn atmosphere of the 2025 Military Service Handover Ceremony.

In addition, localities need to pay attention to implementing the military rear policy well, promptly visit and encourage families and young people to join the army; pay attention to supporting families in difficult circumstances. At the same time, promptly reward collectives and individuals with achievements in military recruitment work.

According to the plan, the preliminary health screening will be conducted from September 20 to October 30, 2025; the military service health examination will be conducted in November and December 2025; the decision to call citizens to join the army will be issued before February 12, 2026. The military handover ceremony is expected to be held from March 4 to 10, 2026.
