VTV.vn - On the morning of September 29, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province solemnly organized the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Patriotic Emulation Congress.

Over the past 5 years, the patriotic emulation movement of Lam Dong province (old) has been associated with 3 strategic breakthroughs and national target programs.

In Binh Thuan province (old), emulation movements focus on administrative reform, environmental protection, improving education quality, and developing tourism and marine economy.

In Dak Nong province (old), the emulation movement focused on key issues such as new rural construction, administrative reform, infrastructure development and social security.

After the province merger and the implementation of the 2-level local government model, Lam Dong province now has only 80 communes meeting new rural standards, completing the construction and repair of more than 4,300 temporary and dilapidated houses; in the 2021-2025 period, it attracted 255 projects with a total investment of more than 189,600 billion VND. Many practical and effective models have been implemented and built, such as "Skilled Mass Mobilization", "Promoting Administrative Reform", "Community Digital Technology Team", "Learning Family", "Learning Clan", "Learning Promotion Parish"...

Speaking at the congress, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan acknowledged that Lam Dong province has actively responded to and widely implemented patriotic emulation movements, making the emulation movements and campaigns strong and widespread among all subjects and classes of people. More than 360 collectives and individuals have been awarded Orders, Medals, emulation titles, awards, and State honorary titles by the President, more than 500 collectives have been awarded emulation flags and Certificates of Merit by the Government, more than 32,000 collectives have been awarded provincial-level awards and other forms of recognition and honor.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan emphasized: to successfully implement the strategic goal of 100 years under the leadership of the Party and 100 years of the founding of the country, in the coming period, Lam Dong needs to well implement President Ho Chi Minh's patriotic emulation ideology, well implement the Party and State's policies and guidelines on emulation and rewards, strongly and comprehensively innovate emulation and rewards in the direction of real people, real work, real results, real spillover effects, promptly discover, honor and reward good people and good deeds to encourage and motivate the whole society.

"The launching and implementation of emulation movements need to be diverse and rich in terms of natural geographical conditions, socio-economic conditions of each locality. Pay attention to customs, habits, and cultural characteristics of ethnic minorities. Especially in the current period, patriotic emulation among civil servants, public employees, and workers needs to become a driving force for cadres to overcome difficulties and challenges in work and life, and continue to stick together to develop the locality in the new period," Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan emphasized.

On this occasion, Vice President, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the Vietnam Children's Fund Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented 200 gifts to poor students and students from difficult family circumstances with outstanding academic achievements in Lam Dong province, and presented gifts to Heroes of the People's Armed Forces attending the congress.

At the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Patriotic Emulation Congress in 2025-2030, 15 typical and advanced collectives and individuals in many fields of the province were commended and rewarded. The Congress launched the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2025-2030 and approved the list of 36 delegates to attend the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.
