Lam Dong Province Hydrometeorological Station warns of the risk of landslides on steep hillsides, embankments, and flooding in low-lying areas along the upstream stream of Cam Ly River in the communes and wards including Lam Vien Ward - Da Lat (along Me Linh and Trang Trinh streams); Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat (along Phan Dinh Phung streams, Cam Ly streams); Nam Ban Lam Ha and Nam Ha Lam Ha communes (along Cam Ly River); Dinh Van Lam Ha commune (along Cam Ly River, Kim Phat village area).
Floods on the Cam Ly River can have negative impacts on the environment, threaten people's lives, damage infrastructure, roads, bridges, houses, and cause burying and erosion of productive land. Local authorities ask people to closely monitor the development of floods and rains to proactively respond.

Regarding the water regulation situation, on the morning of November 17, Dai Ninh Hydropower Company announced an increase in the regulated discharge flow through the hydropower spillway. At 9:00 a.m., the water level of Dai Ninh Lake reached 879.816 m (normal 880 m); the inflow into the lake was 475 m3/s, the machine was running at 55 m3/s, and the spillway was 350 m3/s.
Based on the rain situation in the basin of Dai Ninh Lake, Don Duong Lake and under the direction of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the discharge flow of Dai Ninh Lake from 10:00 on November 17 increased from 350m3/s to 400-500m3/s to operate to cut and reduce floods for downstream. The company will adjust the discharge flow depending on the amount of rain and inflow into the lake, and notify promptly.
Local authorities and relevant agencies need to coordinate, direct and inform people downstream of the reservoir to proactively take preventive measures. Note: the amount of water discharged from Dai Ninh reservoir is brought to Dong Nai river, not flowing to Luy river, to avoid misunderstandings among people.
