Lamine Yamal helps Barcelona win brilliantly, Real Madrid draw disappointingly

(Dan Tri) - In round 12 of La Liga on the evening of November 9, Barcelona beat Celta Vigo 4-2 while Real Madrid was held to a 0-0 draw by Vallecano.

Traveling to Celta Vigo, Barcelona aimed to win all 3 points. The advantage came to Barcelona in the 9th minute, Marcos Alonso let the ball touch his hand in the penalty area from a shot by Fermin Lopez.

Barcelona were awarded a penalty and Robert Lewandowski made no mistake from the spot, opening the score at 1-0. However, nine minutes later, Sergio Carreira exploited the space behind Barca's high defence, breaking through to beat Wojciech Szczesny and helping Celta Vigo equalise at 1-1.

The match was exciting and in the 37th minute, Marcus Rashford sent an accurate cross from the left wing for the Polish striker to easily tap the ball into the net, completing his double and helping Barcelona lead 2-1.

Celta Vigo played with determination and in the 43rd minute, Borja Iglesias took advantage of the opponent's defensive mistake to equalize 2-2. In the 4th minute of injury time, Lamine Yamal made a mark that gave Barcelona the advantage after the first half.

Rashford made a convenient cross for Yamal to finish with his weaker right foot, putting Barcelona ahead 3-2 in a dramatic match.

Barcelona entered the game with excitement in the second half and in the 70th minute, Rashford made his mark again with an accurate corner kick for Lewandowski to head in to complete his hat-trick, helping Barcelona easily lead 4-2.

Towards the end of the match, Barcelona played slowly to preserve the score, they were unexpectedly damaged when Frenkie de Jong received a second yellow card after a foul on Iago Aspas in the 90th minute and had to leave the field quite regrettably.

Defeating Celta Vigo 4-2, Barcelona also received joy when Real Madrid was held to a 0-0 draw by Vallecano in round 12. The Catalan club is only behind Real Madrid after 12 rounds of La Liga and has revived hopes of competing for the championship.

Visiting Vallecano, Real Madrid needed a win to consolidate their position at the top of La Liga. Coach Xabi Alonso's team quickly dominated and Guler almost opened the scoring with a great shot from outside the box but goalkeeper Batalla made an excellent save.

Vallecano responded when Ratiu finished but Courtois closed the angle in time. Vinicius had two good chances but could not beat goalkeeper Batalla in a one-on-one situation. In the final minutes of the first half, the two sides clashed quite a lot and the referee had to repeatedly show yellow cards.

Real Madrid continued to push their squad to find a goal in the second half but their strikers were quite unlucky. Vallecano also showed great determination, they played an open game with their opponents but no goals were scored.

The match ended in a 0-0 draw, disappointing both teams. Real Madrid continued to lead La Liga with 31 points after round 12, but they are only 3 points ahead of Barcelona.
