Promote the movement of training and community engagement
At the newly put into operation youth community sports field in Man De village, Tran Phu commune, Hai Phong city, from early morning to late afternoon, there are always people coming to practice. This is the 13th project of the "Youth Sports Space - Recharge, Rejuvenate Youth" project, implemented by TCP Vietnam in coordination with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and the National Volunteer Center and inaugurated on October 26, and is also one of the highlights of the implementation phase in 2025.

The project is built on an area of about 900 m², including a pickleball court and an outdoor sports area, serving an average of 200 people per day, meeting the training needs of more than 15,000 residents and 3,000 local youth, workers and students. Not only a destination for young people, the sports field has also become a place to connect generations, where the elderly, students and youth participate in exercise and health training.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Hien Huy, General Director of TCP Vietnam shared: “For TCP Vietnam, investing in youth is not just about sponsoring short-term campaigns but also about a long-term companionship, aiming to create sustainable values, with positive, long-term impacts for the community. The inaugurated sports spaces not only contribute to improving community health but also create an environment for the young generation to train their will, spirit and cultivate positive energy.”
According to the health sector, about 30% of Vietnamese adults lack physical activity, leading to many health consequences and medical costs. Putting into use open, free and accessible sports spaces like the model in Hai Phong helps form the habit of regular exercise, improving physical and mental health in the community.
Player Nguyen Tien Linh, Ambassador of the program, shared: “As someone who has been involved in sports since childhood, I understand that a proper training environment brings many benefits to a young person. When I see the new training grounds come into operation, I am very happy that you have more opportunities to practice and connect with the community. Being with the program for the past two years has also helped me see more clearly the perseverance of TCP Vietnam in fulfilling its commitment to energizing young people, through modern and synchronized sports spaces.”
Social benefits from open sports spaces
The formation of youth sports spaces stems from the reality of the lack of training infrastructure in many localities, especially in suburban areas and industrial zones.

To overcome that situation, the project "Youth Sports Space - Recharge, Rejuvenate Youth" was implemented from 2024, aiming to build and upgrade 20 sports playgrounds nationwide in the period 2024 - 2026. Each project is designed to be multi-functional, able to organize many sports such as soccer, badminton, basketball, volleyball and pickleball - a sport that is gradually becoming popular among young people thanks to its flexibility, ease of play, and suitability for many ages.
In 2024, the program completed 9 playgrounds in Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, Bac Giang , Can Tho, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, Nghe An, Bac Ninh and Binh Duong. In 2025, 4 new projects in Tuyen Quang, Gia Lai, Da Nang and Hai Phong continued to be put into use, contributing to expanding the community sports network across the country.
Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, said: “The movement of physical training among young people has become an essential need, not only serving health but also contributing to building a healthy and civilized lifestyle. Therefore, we welcome the companionship of businesses like TCP Vietnam, which has helped turn youth initiatives into existing projects, serving the community in a practical, long-term and equal way for all subjects.”
According to experts, the three-way cooperation model between businesses - youth organizations - volunteer networks is bringing sustainable results. The National Volunteer Center takes on the role of coordination and operation, helping the project to be exploited effectively and maintain regular operations.
Not only stopping at building facilities, projects like the one in Hai Phong also contribute to creating a culture of physical training in the community. When the exercise gap is gradually filled with quality public playgrounds, the spirit of sports, awareness of healthy living and social connection will become common assets, aiming for a generation of dynamic, healthy young people who actively contribute to the sustainable development of the country.
