The “Not Alone ” Online Safety Festival took place on November 1-2 at Hoan Kiem Lake walking street ( Hanoi ), gathering hundreds of students, artists, international organizations and management agencies, joining hands to build a safe cyberspace for children.
The event is part of a campaign initiated by the Digital Trust Alliance, with the sponsorship of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and many Vietnamese ministries and sectors.
According to the Ministry of Public Security , since the beginning of 2025, there have been more than 50 cases of “online kidnapping”, 90% of the victims are female. At the festival, students experienced technology, recognized the risks and learned how to protect themselves.
Ms. Michaela Bauer, Deputy Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Vietnam, highly appreciated the initiative, emphasizing that the campaign carries a humane message, helping children not to be alone in the digital world , affirming Vietnam's pioneering role in protecting children in the online environment./.
