Spreading Hindi to the community that loves Indian culture, promoting Vietnam-India solidarity

Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC) successfully organized an event to celebrate World Hindi Day 2025 at the Embassy of India in Vietnam.

The event took place on January 10, attracting a large number of people who love Indian culture, the Indian community in Vietnam, and representatives from prestigious organizations such as the Vietnam Writers Association (VWA), the Hanoi Vietnam-India Friendship Association (HAVIFA), the Department of Indology (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (INCHAM).

At the event, Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Sandeep Arya shared the message of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing that Hindi is a bridge connecting the past and the future, helping to preserve cultural heritage and promote unity.

Prime Minister Modi also encouraged the use of digital tools to expand the reach of Hindi, especially among the youth.

In addition, Ambassador Sandeep Arya appreciated SVCC's efforts in promoting Hindi in Vietnam, and acknowledged the increase in the number of Vietnamese students, encouraging the Indian community abroad as well as the Vietnamese people to continue to learn more about the South Asian country and its diverse and rich culture.

Also within the framework of the event, SVCC launched the publication Hindarshika - Part II. The work includes the Vietnamese transcription of Hindi, short stories and many other special contents coordinated by the Center Director, Dr. Monica Sharma.

In addition, the ceremony also brought to the audience special cultural performances in Hindi by the Indian community in Vietnam and SVCC students.

In particular, participants were also impressed with a short film about the Maha Kumbh 2025 festival, providing an insight into the traditions and spirituality of the South Asian country.

Ambassador Sandeep Arya expressed his appreciation and encouraged the efforts of the people of the two countries in promoting Hindi, contributing to strengthening the strong relationship between Vietnam and India through cultural and linguistic exchange activities.
