On the afternoon of June 3, Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Trung Dung chaired a meeting to congratulate Major General Pham Ba Hien - Commander of Army Corps 16 on the occasion of his promotion to the rank of Major General.

Also at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Trung Dung informed Major General Pham Ba Hien about the socio-economic, defense and security situation in the area. The Provincial Party Secretary hoped that Major General Pham Ba Hien would continue to follow, show affection and always accompany his hometown Ha Tinh, especially in the field of local military and defense.

Expressing his gratitude to the provincial leaders, Major General Pham Ba Hien expressed that he will continue to strive, contribute, and excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State, and army; at the same time, continue to pay attention to building the province's armed forces.

On this occasion, Major General Pham Ba Hien also donated 200 million VND to the Education Promotion Fund of Ha Tinh province.

Major General Pham Ba Hien (born 1972) is from Mai Phu commune, Loc Ha district, Ha Tinh.

During his military career, Major General Pham Ba Hien held many command and management positions. He was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal, certificates of merit from the Government, the Ministry of National Defense , and the titles of Army Emulation Fighter, National Emulation Fighter, and many other noble awards from the Party and the State.

From December 2014 to October 2022, he held the position of Deputy Commander; from November 2022 to present, he is the Commander of the 16th Army Corps.

On May 12, comrade Pham Ba Hien was honored to be promoted from Colonel to Major General.

Regarding his homeland, as Vice President of the Ha Tinh Association in Ho Chi Minh City, in recent times, comrade Pham Ba Hien has actively contributed, together with the Executive Board and members of the association, to many practical activities towards Ha Tinh.
