City leaders inspect site clearance work for the Central Region Linkage Project in Quang Nam province

DNO - On the afternoon of September 5, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Tran Nam Hung inspected the situation and directed the removal of difficulties and obstacles in the compensation and site clearance work of the Central Region Linkage Project of Quang Nam Province, from Tra My Commune to Thanh Binh (Da Nang City).

Reporting at the construction site, the Quang Nam Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (the project investor) said: the Central Region Connection Project in Quang Nam province, the section passing through Tra My commune, is 5.7km long, with 600m of land still undelivered. Some families have not agreed because they have not yet agreed on the compensation, support and resettlement plan.

There are still some electricity poles in the project area that have not been relocated. The section passing through Lanh Ngoc commune is 5.91km long with 400 plots of land affected. Currently, there are still 35 plots that do not meet the compensation conditions related to transfer and inheritance.

The locality has approved 5 compensation plans for site clearance of 185/400 plots, of which 67 plots have received payment and handed over the site. However, the site is scattered and not continuous.

The section passing through Thanh Binh commune is over 7.4km long, of which only 0.9km has been handed over. In the area, there are 743 plots of land affected by the project and there are still 30 plots that do not meet the compensation conditions related to land division and location adjustment.

Thanh Binh Commune has approved 19 compensation plans for site clearance of 452/743 plots, of which 297 plots have received payment and handed over the site. It is worth mentioning that the site has been handed over intermittently, scattered, the electrical system and fiber optic cables have not been relocated so the contractor has not been able to start construction.

With the determination to further speed up the progress of compensation and site clearance, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung visited each family to talk, grasp their thoughts and aspirations, and at the same time directed the resolution and listened to many recommendations of people affected by the project.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Danang City Land Fund Development Center, the Regional Construction Investment Project Management Board and the People's Committees of Tra My, Lanh Ngoc and Thanh Binh communes to promptly resolve existing problems and obstacles in site clearance compensation, urgently deploy the construction of resettlement areas to arrange resettlement for households subject to clearance and relocate the electricity and fiber optic systems out of the project construction area.

The Central Region Connectivity Project in Quang Nam province has a total investment of more than 1,059 billion VND. Up to now, localities have handed over 15.7/31.5km of the entire project route.
