The project of the road connecting Tan Son town to Ta Nang crossroads has a total length of 63.32 km (Ninh Thuan province: 46.22 km; Lam Dong province: 17.1 km) with a total investment of 1,494,746 million VND. The starting point is at the intersection of National Highway 27B and National Highway 27 (Ninh Binh crossroads), Ninh Son district; The end point (Km63+320) at Ta Nang intersection in Ta Nang commune, Duc Trong district, completion time 2021-2025. Up to now, Component Project 1 has been completed and accepted for use (Road from Tan Son town to Ma Noi commune with a total length of 22.283 km (located in Ninh Thuan province). Component Project 2 (Road from Ma Noi commune to Ta Nang intersection with a length of 41.037 km (of which the section through Ninh Thuan province is 23.937 km; the section through Lam Dong province in Da Quynh commune and Ta Nang commune, Duc Trong district is 17.1 km long), currently in Lam Dong province, the basic construction of the works on the route and the first layer of asphalt concrete has been completed for 15 km/17.1 km (2.1 km have not been constructed due to forest and forest land that has not been converted); in Ninh Thuan province, construction has been completed 8.0 km/23,937 km completed (15,937 km still not completed due to forest and forest land not yet converted).

Implementing Resolution No. 16/NQ-CP of the Government implementing Resolution No. 106/2023/QH15 dated November 28, 2023 of the National Assembly piloting a number of specific policies on investment in road construction, the People's Council of Ninh Thuan province agreed to use Ninh Thuan province's budget to support Lam Dong province to implement the project of the Road connecting Tan Son town to Ta Nang Intersection in Resolution No. 11/NQ-HDND dated February 15, 2024, in which Ninh Thuan province's budget implemented in Ninh Thuan province is 1,129,377 million VND, Ninh Thuan province's budget supports Lam Dong province to implement in Lam Dong province is 365,369 million VND. At the same time, to ensure the required time, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province issued Document No. 634/UBND-KTTH dated February 17, 2024 reporting to the Ministry of Planning and Investment , requesting attention, synthesizing and submitting to the Prime Minister for consideration and assignment of the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province as the managing agency, using the budget of Ninh Thuan province to support Lam Dong province in implementing public investment activities for the project of the Road connecting Tan Son town to Ta Nang Intersection, which has been approved by the National Assembly to apply the pilot implementation mechanism of assigning a locality as the managing agency in Appendix III of Resolution No. 106/2023/NQ15; including a commitment to coordinate with Lam Dong province and supplement the dossier after receiving the consensus document of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province and the Resolution of the People's Council of Lam Dong province, and send it to the Ministry of Planning and Investment no later than early March 2024. On the Lam Dong side, based on the proposal of the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, the Lam Dong Provincial Party Standing Committee agreed on the investment plan and agreed to submit it to the Provincial People's Council at the thematic session according to Conclusion No. 809-KL/TU dated February 20, 2024 of the 56th Provincial Party Standing Committee Conference.
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that due to the time required to complete legal procedures according to Resolution No. 16/NQ-CP before February 15, 2024 of the Government, the Provincial People's Committee proposed that the Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial People's Council soon consider organizing a thematic People's Council meeting to pass a Resolution agreeing to use the local budget of Ninh Thuan province to support Lam Dong province in implementing the project; Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee respectfully requests the Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial People's Council, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments, branches and localities to pay attention and support Ninh Thuan province to complete the procedural documents to submit to the Prime Minister for decision to soon complete the project.
